Mary Kathleen Howard, 90, of Lenoir City passed away Monday,
Nov. 2, 2009.
She attended Woodlawn Baptist Church. Kathleen was a member of the Eastern Star
North Carolina Chapter and a faithful contributor to Boys Town in Nebraska. She was a loving mother
and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Howard; and by several
brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmy L. Howard and wife, Libby and Roy
Howard, all of Lenoir City; her grandchildren, Tina Howard, James Lee Howard and wife, Michelle,
David Howard and Ashley Howard; her daughter-in-law, Mary Howard; her great-grandchildren, Jacob
Curtis and wife, Melinda, Lynsi Bolling and husband, Brent and Jami and Ethan Howard; her
great-great-granddaughter, Rylee Lane Bolling; her brothers and sisters, Robert Wayne Covington,
Mary Alice Curtis, Tommy Ray Covington, Gordon Covington and Chucky Covington; her special nieces,
Rosemary Johnson, Gail Myers and Debbie Clark; and by many other nieces and nephews.
The
family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Click Funeral Home. Funeral services will
follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. David Latham officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m.
Thursday in the Virtue Cemetery for graveside services. Pallbearers will be James Howard, Chris
Brittain, Jonathan Sartin, Brent Bolling, David Howard and Cody Purdy.
