Eura Lee Thompson Gryder, of Greenback, departed this life and went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009.  
She was born Jan. 18, 1924, to John and Ruby Thompson of Greenback.  She was a member of Meadow Methodist Church.  

Eura Lee was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Eugene Gryder; her son, Roy Gryder; her great-granddaughter, Peyton Gryder; her great-grandson, Harold Fox; her parents, John and Ruby Thompson; and by her sisters, Eula Phillips and Wanda Jo Bumgardner.
 
She is survived by her loving children, Bill, John, Bob and Donna Gryder, Louise and Labe Coada, Pat and Jimmy Dunlap, and Shirley and Cecil Tuck; her grandchildren, Kevin and Stacy Gryder, Tonya Godfrey, Skip, Carrie, and Jim Coada and Jamie, Sherry, Henry, and John Dunlap; 15 great-grandchildren; her brother, Frank Thompson; her sister, Inez Bryant; and by several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4 at Miller Funeral Home in Maryville.  Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, with the Rev. Jimmy Guider and the Rev. Danny Treadwell officiating. The interment service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cloyds Creek Cemetery.
