Steven Matthews Rice, 23, of Lenoir City, passed away suddenly Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008. Steven was an avid Go Cart Driver.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William (Dub) Rice and Walter Underwood. He is survived by his father, Michael Rice; his mother, Wanda Faye Rice; his brothers, Michael Rice and William Rice, all of Lenoir City; his sister, Angela Monger and husband, Mark of Loudon; his fiancee', Kellie Kempton of Lenoir City; his special friend, Wade Childress of Knoxville; his nieces and nephews, Kelsey, Paige, Maison, Hunter, Houston, MacKenzie and Tiffany; his grandparents, Ellen Rice, Carolyn and Hobert Scott, all of Lenoir City; his dog, Tulsa; by several aunts, uncles and cousins; and by many friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Wednesday at Click Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. George Seay and the Rev. David Thompson officiating.

Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Thursday and proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for 11 a.m. graveside services.
