The results are in from the 15th annual Area 22 Special Olympics Spring Games. The games were held Friday morning at the Lenoir City Middle School track and more than 250 athletes from Loudon, Roane and Monroe County arrived to take part.
Events during the Games ranged from numerous track meets to Bocce ball to softball throws. The following are the top placings:
Bocce ball Three first place finishes were awarded in three events. Those went to: • Jessica Limburg and Mark Campbell • Billy Wallace and Sue Brown • Coty Gamble and Vicki Borden

The Area 22 Special Olympics Spring Games began 15 years ago at Lenoir City Elementary School, but moved to the middle school when the track was built.
Last year, the Spring Games shifted over to Sweetwater, but returned to Loudon County this year. The Spring Games are organized each year by Mary Mills.
