The Lenoir City Youth Football Organization (LCYFO) ventured to Madisonville Saturday and came away with a split.

Madisonville 14,
LCYFO Crickets 6
The Lenoir City Crickets struggled to find offense in the opening game of the day, but still had a shot at tying the game late.  Down 14-6, the Panthers drove the field in the final seconds of the game, but time ran out with the Panthers at the Madisonville two-yard line.
Neither team scored in the first half, but Jake Dallas got the scoring going quickly in the second half with a 58-yard TD run on the opening LC possession of the third quarter.  The conversion failed, leaving the Panthers up 6-0.
Madisonville answered right back, though, with a 45-yard drive.  The Tornado conversion was successful and the hosts led 8-6.
Madisonville tacked on one more score to secure the final tally.
Dallas led the LC offense with 101 yards on the ground and a touchdown.  Justin Womack led the defense with nine tackles.

Madisonville 0,
LCYFO Hoppers 28
The second game of the day featured a dominant Lenoir City defense, as the visitors shut out Madisonville 28-0.
The LC Hopper defense allowed just 18 yards of total offense as Bryant Bingham and Bailey Brockwell led the defense with seven tackles each.
Offensively, Bingham rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown.  Preston Adams added 66 yards and a score and Gabe Williams tallied 54 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Madisonville 0,
LCYFO Cutters 28
The Lenoir City Cutters showed off a strong defensive effort as well, shutting down Madisonville's offense in a 28-0 win.
Dylan "Pickle" Russell began the scoring with a five-yard TD run.  Jesse Smallen added the conversion to put LC up 8-0.
The lead expanded on the next series as Joe Pace found Russell on a 44-yard TD pass.  Smallen executed a successful conversion again and Lenoir City led 16-0.
Pace completed his second TD pass of the day in the second quarter, when he hit Landon Sprunger for a 20-yard TD.  The conversion failed, but LC was up 22-0.
The second half kickoff secured the final score when Bradley Willis rumbled 50 yards for the TD.
The LC defense was led by Blake Abney and Smallen with two tackles and a fumble recovery each.  Jacob Bingham added a pair of tackles and a forced fumble.  Braden Sprunger and Chase Estes also had two tackles.

Madisonville 44,
LCYFO Juniors 18
The eldest Lenoir City club struggled to slow an explosive Madisonville offense as the hosts rolled to a 44-18 win.
The Tornadoes opened the scoring with a long TD run on the opening play of the game.  Jacob Baker answered quickly, though, returning the ensuing kickoff 70 for a touchdown.  The conversion failed, however.
Madisonville added three more TDs in the first half to send the game to halftime with LC down 32-6.
The visiting Juniors attempted a comeback in the second half, however, as Travis Tomei scored a pair of quick TDs to pull Lenoir City within two scores at 32-18.  Madisonville scored once more to seal the win, though.
Tomei led the LC offense with 91 yards rushing.  Baker, Joseph McKee and Zack Johnson led the defense with four tackles each.

The LCYFO will return to the field Saturday when it visits Midway.  The first of four games is set to begin at 4 p.m.
