The Lenoir City Youth Football Organization (LCYFO) Juniors ended their season Saturday against a tough Sweetwater team.
The Wildcats jumped ahead first and held on for a 14-12 win over Lenoir City in the opening round of the playoffs. The Wildcats jumped ahead 6-0 in the second quarter, but a 50-yard Jaylond Woods run on the first play of the ensuing drive tied things up for Lenoir City.
Sweetwater got one more score on the board before the half, though, and headed to the break up 14-6. Late in the third Lenoir City had a chance to tie the game on a long TD run by Caleb Wilson, but the conversion failed and the Panthers fell by two.
Woods earned offensive MVP honors as he rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown. Bernard Indrajaya collected the defensive MVP award as he recorded six tackles – two for a loss.
