Despite being on a playoff bye, the Loudon Quarterback Club (LQC) Indians still competed Saturday as they face off with the Rogers Creek Warriors in a non-playoff game.
The eldest Loudon team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as they pulled out a 30-6 win. Loudon opened the scoring in the first quarter as Ma'Leake Tatham caught a 23-yard touchdown pass from Travis Brewer. The conversion failed and the score remained 6-0.
The Loudon Indians scored twice more in the second as Brewer punched in a three-yard run and Jack Nichols II added the conversion to make it 14-0. Before halftime, Brewer found the end zone again, this time on a 20-yard TD toss to Tyler Ferguson. Colin Brennan hit the point after and Loudon's lead expanded to 22-6 at halftime.
Loudon scored once more in the third when Nichols raced in for a 48-yard TD. Brennan hit the PAT again to secure the Indian win.
Brewer was awarded the offensive MVP award as he completed five of his nine passes for 60 yards. Roger Waddell earned the defensive MVP award for his nine tackles. The Loudon Indians will have one more bye week Saturday before they begin their playoff run Nov. 14.
